Snow fence

Can someone please tell the MTO (Ontario Ministry of Transportation) that a snow fence consists of 2 parts. This is the second year that they put up the posts, but never return for the actual fence. It doesn't block the snow this way.

Below is the way an actual fence should work.

Diamonds are overrated!

I try and buy quality jewelry for my girlfriend. Diamonds are great for cutting things, but really it's just a nice piece of clear glass.

This woman is involved in fair trade gems and jewelry design.
Her website is www.zaharadesign.com

Dendritic Quartz
Dendritic Quartz contains a marking resembling moss or a tree form (in upper center of piece). In this one of a kind generator crystal, it is comprised of chlorite which brings a closeness with nature and a connection to Gaia or Mother Earth
Lodolite
Lodolite is truly a rare treasure of nature. Lodolite was created over millions of years - it is a variety of quartz with unique mineral inclusions. Some strands may have some beads with golden rutile or red hair inclusions.

Enough Raccoons!

So, I try and collect tins for recycling, or for donating to Habitat for Humanity.

Raccoons are a fact of life in my barn.
They have been here for the past 15 years and every winter move in to have baby raccoons.

As if cleaning the huge mounds of crap every year is not enough, they recently have become psycho.

They take a can and shred it into little pieces.

car ad only in Canada

I've always wondered how people in California actually think of us here in Canada, especially during our winter months.

Here's an ad they just won't see from a local newspaper in my area.

It just doesn't seem right. Couldn't they have hired someone to brush off the cars? Couldn't they have just waited for a better day? Couldn't they just have used a "stock" shot?

Unlike California these cars come without bullet holes!
