A visit to CHUO-FM

I went to pick up my rock from a pledge I made during their Funding Drive.
One of the red ones is now in my house.



Renowned underground artist/curator/gallerist, Robert Gordon McHarg III, is coming to Ottawa from England to present CHUO ROCKS, another edition in the Rock Show series! The little rocks with big personalities first appeared at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival in 2006, then at Subway Gallery's Rock Show (2006/07) and most recently at Rock Him at London's Trolley Gallery (2008)!

I also checked out the facilities!

Based on the campus of the University of Ottawa, CHUO is the only bilingual Campus Community radio station in Canada. Our FM broadcast reaches throughout the Ottawa/Gatineau region, and our 100 km broadcast radius reaches as far south as northern New York State. Our online broadcast travels through wires all over the world. CHUO has been broadcasting on cable and on campus since 1984. In 1991 CHUO was granted an FM license by the CRTC, and settled into its space at 89.1 FM on May 31, 1991. In June of 2006 we celebrated our 15th Anniversary.
